FTS System 3 Review

After trading so successfully so far using the Football Trading System, I decided to try another one of Ian Erskine’s trading products for Betfair, well he’s got three so I guess they could be referred to as the Betfair Holy Trinity.  So at the start of November 2009 I purchased System 3 and it’ll now be another system tagged onto my results posts, as and when they happen.

The System 3 system (sounds weird that bit), can be found at the top right hand corner of the FTS Income page, the main differences between System 3 and the Football Trading System are the price (it’s only $37/$22) and the fact that it’s not an in-running system.

System 3 allows you to manipulate the odds on Betfair or BetDaq by placing several bets on football markets all before the match has kicked-off.  The net result of these bets allows you to effectively act as though you are a bookmaker, which means there is a chance you could lose a bet, but in the long-term you’ll make profits due to the fact you’ve given yourself the correct line and price vs the punter.

The System 3 ebook itself is relatively short at only 15 pages long, but that is not to say that it is lacking in any of the necessary information for you to implement and profit from this betting exchange system.  Ian covers the logic behind the system, and works through a scenario using screenshots of how to place the pre-match bets and what your liabilities are dependent on how the game pans out.  I much prefer a concise and straight to the point ebook, than having to sift through nonsense to get to the interesting bits.

I read through the system twice and I have to say, the methodology has stuck like glue to my brain, it really is simple to remember and easy use without having to refer to, or re-read the guide.  As usual, if you can’t be bothered doing some pre-match research to choose the games to trade on, then Ian’s selections are delivered to your email inbox, pretty much every day there is some football going on.  The System & Ian’s selections are currently on a 100% winning streak for the 2009/2010 season and my only regret is not using the system during the first 12 days of November, I’ve been quite busy and would have made a tidy profit in this short space of time, still I’m going to make up for it now :-)

In summary, the system is ingenious in both its simplicity and practicality, it doesn’t involve greening-up, so losses are possible, but by selecting the correct matches, you should be enjoying a winning strike rate of 88% over the length of a football season, which will see any losses replaced by lovely profits.  As with the Football Trading System, the only barrier to you making lots of cash, is your starting bankroll and the amount of free time you have to trade.

FTS System 3 System Summary

  • Cost = $37/£22
  • Difficulty = Easy to follow and implement the principles
  • Value  = Excellent, Ian’s selection emails are worth the cost alone (100% strike rate 2009/2010)
  • Profitability = Low to Medium, involves small risks but extremely profitable overall
  • Recommended = Definitely CLICK HERE TO VISIT FTS SYSTEM 3 – LINK IN TOP RIGHT

Profit/Loss Made So Far Based On £40 Bets

  1. Didn’t you bet last weekend’s System 3 bet? Because it was a loser… and although it was my first bet with this system I think it’s a loser that would have eaten all your profit with this system till now.
I know it’s a long term strategy anyway… but I’ll paper trade it for the moment because although it may be profitable, when you lose is a big red that can take several successful matches away.

Didn’t you get caught by this one then?

    Cheers!

  2. Hi Jacobo

No, thankfully I didn’t bet the System 3 bet at the weekend because I thought it was a really dodgy selection to be honest. That match had that scoreline written all over and I decided to stay away.

Really glad I did too, and yes if I had bet that, I would have been looking at a write-off of most of profits from the System. I guess it’s a reminder that no system is flawless, paper trading is always a good idea when starting a new system. I’ll be interested in which match he selects this weekend, although I’ll be looking for a couple to apply it to myself.

    Good luck mate

    Steve

  3. Hi Steve,

Yes… When I saw the match it wasn’t one of those that you say “impossible that this ends 1-1″… but I thought “anyway, he is the expert”. I also considered leaving it too but took into account that maybe if I dropped some of the selections that I didn’t see too keen on 1-1, on the long run I might lose as, again, I’m not the expert.
As my bank is VERY low, I’ll leave System3 to paper for the moment and continue with FTS by now… Hope I can get the same results as you :) .

Hope Ian gets healthy too… which right now it’s obviously the most important thing.

Thanks for the blog, I keep on reading it avidly.

    Cheers!
